Quantity Surveying

Quantity surveyor services, paid for by the project

The measured quantities, bills and cost plans a QS produces, delivered when you need them and priced per job.

In short

Construction Estimates delivers the core outputs of a quantity surveyor on a pay-per-project basis, so you only pay when you have work to measure.

We produce measured take-offs, bills of quantities and cost plans to RICS NRM standards from your drawings.

There is no salary, no retainer and no software to learn. You send drawings, agree a fixed fee, and get documents back ready to use or to share with clients under your own brand.

Who it's for

Builders and developers who need quantity surveying work done properly but cannot justify a full-time QS.

A quantity surveyor measures what a job is made of and turns it into numbers you can build and bid from. That means counting and measuring everything off the drawings, setting it out under the right headings, and pricing it so the figure stands up. Most small and medium firms need that work in bursts rather than every day of the week.

Employing a QS is expensive. A salary of £70,000 to £80,000 is normal, and once you add employer National Insurance, pension, holiday, sick pay, a vehicle and software, the true all-in cost lands around £100,000 a year. A freelance QS will charge £400 to £600 a day. Both make sense at scale, but neither suits a firm with an uneven pipeline.

We give you the same outputs without the standing cost. You upload drawings, we measure and price, and you get a clean set of documents back. Pay for the projects you actually have, scale up when you win more work, and pay nothing in the quiet weeks.

Everything we produce is measured to RICS NRM, so the structure and language match what a professional QS, main contractor or client would expect to see. You can hand it straight to a customer, white-labelled as your own.
